The two-bedroom apartments have three A/C
units, in the bedrooms and the living room - kitchen. All
other apartments have one air-conditioning unit, which covers
the entire space. All the apartments have double-glass windows
and balcony doors. In addition to A/C, 6 two-bedroom apartments

space that surrounds the apartment units, there is a big swimming-pool
(125 m2), a smaller children's swimming-pool, a nearby cafeteria,
where breakfast is available, a mini-market, playground, indoor
play room, gated parking for 22 cars. All of the above is
located in 2,5 acres of grass, plants, flowers, etc.
The region of Fragokastelo is known thanks
to the fortress to which it owes its name. It was completed
by the Venetians in 1371. Still visible today are the blazons
and coat of arms that embelish the main entrance to the fortress.
Fragokastelo is also known for the Drosoulites, the legendary
horse-riding warriors that appear across the sky, riding furiously
towards the castle.Almost all of the bay consists of golden
sandy beaches. Thus is the beach in front of the Fortress,
which is the nearest beach to the Monachus Monachus Apartments
complex. Also found nearby is the spectacular Orthi Ammos
beach, where the golden sand forms in dunes that fill entire
cliff sides, just above the beach, ideal for children's games.
The bay is the ideal base for those who wish to explore the
wider region of Sfakia and the south side of Crete. To the
north, above the villages of Patsianos and Kapsodasos, European
Hiking Footpath E4 begins, passing through the gorge of Kallikratis,
as well as the village and plateau that bear the same name,
at an altitude of 750 metres above sea level. On the whole,
this is a region that combines a calm atmosphere with a unique
blend of character.
